  • Namastay Glamping Retreat is located in Magna Bay, BC, on the quiet north side of Shuswap Lake. We’re tucked away on a peaceful acreage surrounded by forest and meadow, just a few minutes from lake access, boat launches, and local shops.

  • We’re happy to welcome children and infants at Namastay Glamping Retreat. To help families enjoy a safe and comfortable stay, here are a few helpful notes:

    Our retreat is set on natural forest and meadow terrain with wildlife, uneven paths, and open-air amenities. Children must be supervised at all times — especially around:
    • The firepit
    • The hot tub, sauna & cold-plunge
    • The cookhouse
    • Forested walking trails
    • Parking and driveway areas

    Some tents are more spacious and better suited for families, including:
    Kula Family Tent – includes 2 twin beds + space for a travel crib
    Premium tents – offer more room for seating and movement

    ✨ What to Bring for Little Ones

    To make your stay more comfortable, we recommend bringing:
    • A travel crib or playpen
    • Extra blankets or sleep sacks (nights can get cool)
    • Baby monitor (battery-powered)
    • Child-friendly snacks & drinks
    • Safe footwear for uneven ground

    ✨ Noise & Quiet Hours

    To maintain a peaceful atmosphere for all guests, we observe quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM. Families are welcome — we just ask everyone to be mindful of sound during these times.

    This allows us enough time to clean, reset, and prepare each tent for the next guest. If you’re arriving early or running late, please let us know — early check-ins or late check-outs may be available depending on occupancy.

  • Yes — Namastay Glamping Retreat is a fully self check-in and self check-out experience.
    Before your stay, you’ll receive:

    • Your tent assignment

    • Detailed arrival instructions

    • A digital guest guide with everything you need

    • pin-drops to your tent

    • we provide wagons at the office/reception area so you can bring your belongings to your tent. Please return the wagon when you’re done so it is available for the next guest

    When you arrive, simply follow the signs, park, and head straight to your tent — no in-person host required.

    For check-out, just follow the departure checklist provided in your guide.

    Our team is always reachable by message if you need assistance.

  • Yes — basic cell service is available, but coverage can vary depending on your carrier. Most guests can call, text, and use data, but speeds may be slower than in town due to our forested, rural location.

    For the best experience, we recommend downloading maps, playlists, and any important info before you arrive.

  • No — we do not offer Wi-Fi.
    Namastay Glamping Retreat is designed as a digital-light, nature-focused experience, so guests can unplug & unwind.

    Basic cell service is available for calls, texts, and light browsing, but we encourage guests to download anything important before arriving.

  • Power:
    We do not have on-site power. Each tent includes a solar-powered lantern with a small USB port that can charge a phone in a pinch.


    For your comfort, we recommend bringing a fully charged power bank or two for your stay.

    High-draw electronics (hair dryers, kettles, electric heaters, CPAP machines, etc.) cannot be used at the retreat.

    Heat:
    No — Our canvas tents are naturally breathable and comfortable in warm weather, but evenings can be cooler. Please bring warm layers to stay cozy at night.

  • All guests have access to our communal outdoor Cookhouse, designed for simple, relaxed, off-grid meals. The Cookhouse includes:

    • A propane BBQ grill
    • A 2-burner camp-style cooktop
    • Prep tables & counter space
    • Seating for up to 12 guests
    • Solar lighting for evenings

    Please note: There is no cooking inside the tents for safety.

  • We understand that plans can change. Our policy is:

    • Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival
    Receive a full refund.

    • 50% refund for cancellations 7–13 days before arrival

    • No refund for cancellations within 6 days of arrival


    Because we are a small, seasonal retreat with limited availability, last-minute cancellations are difficult to fill.

    If you need to shorten your stay or adjust your dates, please contact us as soon as possible — we’ll do our best to accommodate changes based on availability.

  • Yes — our canvas tents are fully waterproof and built to withstand rain and summer storms. They stay dry, breathable, and comfortable in most weather conditions

  • Yes — each booking includes one vehicle parking space in our designated guest parking area. Additional vehicles can be accommodated with prior notice

  • We offer a communal firepit, available when local fire bans permit, & private firepits for the luxury tents - Firewood bundles are available for purchase

  • Yes — we have a clean, well-maintained communal bathroom with a portable tankless propane water heater for warm showers.
    This keeps the retreat eco-friendly and low-impact

  • We operate seasonally from May to October (weather dependent).
